  • 2 cups of whole-wheat flour ;
  • ½ a cup of brown sugar;
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder;
  • ½ teaspoon of salt;
  • 1 zest of lemon;
  • 1/3 cup of butter;
  • 1 large egg;
  • 2/3 cups of quark cheese;
  • ½ a cup of dry figs;
  • ½ a cup of walnuts;
  • Quark cheese to brush;
  • Cinnamon and powder sugar;
  • 5 tablespoons of Fig and Walnuts Jam.


  1. Put the flour, baking powder, salt and lemon zest in a bowl. After that add the butter in chopped in cubes until the mixture gets crumbly.
  2. Add the egg and the quark cheese and use the mixer in a slow speed.
    When the mixture gets homogeneous, add the dry figs in pieces and the chopped walnuts.
  3. Place some flour in your kitchen bench and use your hands to do a circle with the dough. Cut it into 8 triangles.
  4. Brush them with quark cheese and put some cinnamon and sugar powder. Take them to the oven at 200ºC during 20 minutes.
  5. Serve them while harm with a generous amount of Fig and Walnut Jam.
